Screw Piles

Supply and installation of helical piles (screw piles) for any type of foundation, load support or anchor application you encounter.

A screw pile (also called a helical pile or pier) is a foundation system. If we had to describe helical piles with one word, that word would be “VERSATILE”! There are few situations where they do not offer a foundation option that is fast, effective, economical, convenient and strong.

Helical plates are welded to a metal shaft, which is “screwed” into the ground using hydraulically-driven torque motors. By monitoring the amount of torque needed to rotate the shaft, it is possible to determine when the pile has encountered a degree of resistance necessary to support the required load.

  1. No Excavating
This means no backfilling either, of course, and no mess. Helical piles are routinely installed through existing paving, lawns and foundations with virtually no disturbance.
  2. No Frost Jacking
Because our piles are always installed below the frost line, they never heave – no matter how severe the winter.
  3. No Vibration
Sometimes pile driving is not an option due to the vulnerability of existing installations. Helical piles are an excellent alternative.
  4. Year Round Installation
Frozen ground presents no problem, and no concrete work is required.
  5. Very Fast Foundation Solution
Since helical piles eliminate the need for any excavation or concrete curing times, time taken to complete the installation is measured in hours rather than days.
  6. Huge Load Capacities
Pile design and installation can be engineered to meet virtually any required load capacity.
  7. Flexible
Custom designed and site specific engineering.
  • House/Building foundations
  • Decks
  • Light pole bases
  • Footings
  • Construction projects on wet ground
  • Mobile Homes
  • Retaining walls
  • Gates
  • Support posts
  • Foundation repair
